Chrissy played guitar on "Red River Valley," everything else is Tim's fault.

"Further adventures" uses the chord progression from the traditional folksong "Bury me beneath the willow tree," as the Carter Family played it.

"Remember" and "do not hasten" adapt the traditional folksong "Red River Valley."

"The water is wide, so is this banjo resonance," unsurprisingly, adapts the traditional folksong "The water is wide."
